About the Guild

The Madison Area Potters’ Guild is a cooperative organization of independent potters and ceramic artists who share the rent and upkeep of a firing and glazing facility. We currently fire in electric kilns to cone 6-10. Most of us produce work at our home studios, while a few share space in our new wet work clay studio.

The glazing and firing facility is located in Verona, Wisconsin. It houses a glazing area with a collection of over 50 glazes that are mixed and maintained by the members. There is one electric kiln, use for both bisqueing and glaze firing to cone 6-10.

Members take care of glazing and firing their work, sometimes sharing kiln space with other members.
