About the Guild

The Madison Area Potters’ Guild is a cooperative organization of independent potters and ceramic artists who share the rent and upkeep of a firing and glazing facility. We currently fire in electric kilns to cone 6-10. Most of us produce work at our home studios, while a few share space in our new wet work clay studio.

The glazing and firing facility is located just west of Waunakee, Wisconsin. It houses a glazing area with a collection of over 100 glazes that are mixed and maintained by the members. There are two electric kilns, one used exclusively for bisqueing, and one for glaze ware up to cone 10.

Members take care of glazing and firing their work, sometimes sharing kiln space with other members.
